Amigo si te sale el recovery es que no hizo el download completo del archivo update asi que tienes que volver a hacer el download del mismo.

Y para actualizar por el recovery es asi solo que los archivos para actualizar por el recovery no son los mismos....

Make sure you have a USB keyboard plugged in or you will not be able to use the menu.
Also this will not work if the OTG cable is connected, plese remove it first.

How to flash:
1. download firmware zipfile.
2. DO NOT UNZIP!, the zipfile IS the update package!
3. format a sdcard or usbstick to FAT32 ( NTFS formated drives dont work )
4. Put the .zip file on the root of the sdcard or usbstick.

5. Power off the MINIX
6. Insert the sdcard or usbstick. ( dont use the side USB, allways use the back USB port )
7. press the restore button with a pin ( insert in the recovery hole on the back ) and KEEP it pressed.
8. Press the powerbuttin and keep it pressed till you see the boot logo, then let go
9. let go of the restore button

You will see a menu:
1. Select : apply update from EXT ( using your keyboard cursor )
2. Select : Update from Sdcard / Update from udisk << usbstick
3. Select the .zip file
4. hit enter and wait till its done.

When it is done select reboot and hit enter.
All done!!
