Please can I get some advice flashing Mini M8 box

I have downloaded firmware for the box and tried to flash using USB and the Amlogic burning tool V2.2.4 but am getting a Romcode/initialize DDR.... USB Control setup error message within seconds of starting. I tried different USB ports and firmware but the same. I have then decided to try instead using the Amlogic Bootcardmaker with an SD card, however the app doesn't see any of the files I have downloaded as Bootcardmaker is looking for bin files. Please can someone advise me what I am doing wrong with the Bootcardmaker?

You were using the wrong tool. Bootcardmaker only accepts .bin files, so it won’t detect your firmware. Amlogic devices need Burn_Card_Maker, which works with .img firmware files.

With Burn_Card_Maker, extract your firmware, load the .img file, select your SD card, enable “Erase Flash,” and create the bootable card. Then insert the SD card, hold the reset button, and power on the box to start the flashing process. The earlier USB burning error was likely due to incompatible firmware, drivers, or cable issues, but the SD method usually avoids these.
